The Tidemann Lithograph of 1860

As part of the Marion Cumming Lecture Series, on March 11, 2026 Ben Clinton-Baker and Dr. Charles Leitz, curators at Wentworth Villa Museum, Florence Dick, Songhees Elder and Knowledge Keeper and maritime historian Dr. Barry Gough explored the origin, content and purpose of architect/surveyor Hermann Tiedemann’s famous depiction of Victoria Harbour in 1860.  The lecture was well received by a large crowd.
