Author Liz Maxwell Forbes, read from her book Growing Up Weird, A Memoir of an Oak Bay Childhood, and spoke about her experiences growing up in Oak Bay in the 1940s and 50s. She hopes to inspire people to write their own stories, and to instill a passion for memoir.
